P.Mauriat PMXT-66R The most popular Mauriat sax now fitted with solid nickel silver key touches for improved feel and extra player feedback.
P. Mauriat Influence Tenor Review By Jason Marshall "The latest model in the P. Mauriat Saxophone line is the "Influence". It is a 66R model with some key improvements separating the two models. The intonation is, once again, spot on and the ergonomics are, hands down ( no pun intended), the most comfortable I have ever felt. I think the most striking aspect on this new model is there are positively no pearls anywhere on the instrument! The chromatic F# is a solid metal key and the right and left hand stacks where pearls use to reside have large metal buttons similar to those found on a flute. This makes the horn play considerably faster and more efficiently. I wonder why any of the other "big" saxophone makers didn't do this sooner. My setup is a JodyJazz DVNY #10 with a Rico Jazz Select #3M reed and a prototype ligature by J. Espina. Congrats, P. Mauriat on another fantastic evolutionary measure in saxophone history." - Jason Marshall has worked with the Duke Ellington Orchestra, Mingus Big Band, The Four Tops, Destiny's Child, The Temptations, Dionne Warwick, The Cab Calloway Orchestra, Martha & The Vandellas and many more.P.Mauriat Saxophones Prices & Ordering If you do not have menu buttons on the left hand side of this page click here & see our full site. |
