Solid nickel silver body & neck and matt gold lacquered keys. A very resonant sax with more "punch" and edge to the sound for a player who is doing more R & B, rock and contemporary playing. This model come with the SUPER JAZZ NECK VI. If you need to be heard, this is the horn for you. It has unbelievable power coupled with the big, fat core sound that is characteristic of P. Mauriat saxophones. Ideally suited for Rock & Roll or Rhythm & Blues playing yet can be easily controlled to provide a rich, warm, beautiful sound quality.

Fine engraving to the body and bow sections. Body clear lacquered.

Supplied with hard case, strap & basic mouthpiece.

The pads have seamless dome metal resonators which increase attack and projection.

Someone who has been along to the band I play in has got hold of 2 new P Mauriat Nickel silver tenor saxes and kindly allowed me to take one away to play for a few days to see what I think.

At first when I heard about these saxes I was sceptical about them as they have had an awful lot of coverage but now I have actually been lucky enough to have the opportunity to play one of them I can see why!

What a fantastic sounding sax and they are also very lightweight and perfectly constructed. I found it such a joy to play and really got in the groove! It certainly feels a lot different to play and the key layout is much more comfortable than my Jupiter. I am by no means an expert sax player but if I were to invest in another sax it would have to be one of these purely because it feels good to play and I don't want to put it down. Colleen
