"There is no other word that can describe it apart from AMAZING. I was totally overwhelmed by the quality and the sound this little “beast” produced. They have such a crisp sound; so smooth on the low notes and enough punch for when you give it some "Umph!”. It wanted to respond to what I wanted to do. The sound it was producing sounded like the higher end of an Alto; it was so clear and distinguished, yet, not oboe like or duck like that most people get out of a saxophone. This is a totally new sound for sopranos, and is very unique, it works well in any genre, I’ve used it in a soul band and it “snaps” through, and I’ve used it in a saxophone quartet and it blends in with the rest of the group. "Just a quick note to say a big thank you again for your brilliant service.
The saxello is just amazing, it really is - I'm running out of superlatives
already! No, seriously, I've had a problem with sopranos (Yanagisawa and
Selmer) - two things - intonation in the upper register and that horrible
nasal, oboe sound in the lower register. This does it on both counts and I
am very impressed at this price. Intonation is effortless, I have never
sounded so good - and the sound is saxophone all the way - not a hint of the
dreaded oboe blues! Key work is just wonderful and sits under the fingers
really well - feels very comfortable - smaller somehow or maybe just more

"When I first thought about buying one of these saxophones I was a little apprehensive that it would be a compromise when compared with the more "recognised" brands. How wrong can you be? These saxophones perform way beyond their price and as such are the best kept secret out there. It will probably only be a matter of time before people catch on and the price goes up. My advice to anyone who is looking to buy a new sax would be to seriously look at P.Mauriat". - Clive Crosse, Bristol.
