Paul started the saxophone having lessons with Don Rendell and Paul Harvey and then went on to study at the London college of music. He graduated with diplomas and moved on working with various music authorities in both the London and surrey areas. Latterly he joined the regimental band of the coldstream guards in which he played alto, tenor and baritone saxophones as well as the clarinet! He toured and recorded with them as well as performing many of the changing of the guard ceremonies for over 5 years (ouch!) Since then he has performed regularly on various carnival cruise liners where he holds the baritone sax chair. This is in between his hectic teaching schedule with Surrey county arts and Enfield arts support service. In addition to this he also regularly plays in big bands around London and the south east. |
