Special thanks to performers Courtney Pine, Simon Bates, Derek Nash, Andy Brush, Jim Cheek, Scott Jenkins, Dennis Primett, Matt Wall, Rob Statham, Mike Bradley, Bob Bernard and to Wally Evans of Yanagisawa for getting the legendary Peter King along for a blow!

Courtney Pine declares the "saxophone temple" open before he goes shopping for his second Akai EWI4000S (shhh.....don't tell the wife)    www.courtneypine.co.uk

Peter King showed up and had a blow! What a fantastic surprise. Thanks to Wally Evans of Yanagisawa for inviting him.

Peter joins Simon Bates, Derek Nash...

......Rob Statham and Mike Bradley.

Derek gets scary with his Conn Baritone

Men in black - what a trio!
(Yanagisawa "Peter King" alto, Yamaha 875 Custom tenor & Conn Baritone)

The sun shone, the crowds turned out, the balloons flew and the music was hot!
Not a trumpet or trombone in sight!  The piano, bass and drums were granted exceptional temporary permission to enter the sax zone for the day.

Yanagisawa "Peter King" alto (of course). Solid silver, bronze, gold plated and played by the master.

....and the beat goes on.

Dennis (Yanagisawa A901) and Matt kicked off the day with a "relaxed" set of cool jazz standards.

Jim Cheek (Selmer Series III tenor) and Andy Brush (P.Mauriat PMXT66R tenor)
followed with a great set.

The inevitable jam & what a line up!
Yamaha Custom soprano, Selmer Ser.III tenor, P.Mauriat tenor, Selmer Ser.II alto & Conn Bari.

Plus of course...Simon, Jim, Andy, Scott & Derek.

P.Mauriat endorsee Andy Brush with his gorgeous PMXT-66R tenor.

Scott Jenkins (of sax.co.uk) stepped up to the challenge.

Simon Bates (Yamaha 875 Custom tenor with Guardala Super King mouthpiece - what a sound!)
Derek Nash (Conn baritone).

Yamaha endorsee Simon Bates with his YTS875 Custom tenor

Derek Nash with a very small and sweet soprano from the 1920's
