Thank you! The mouthpiece arrived and it is simply AMAZING! Truth be told, I had occasion to try a handmade Guardala "R&B" mouthpiece about 15 years ago and it was the best I had ever played, but I wasn't in a position to pay $200 for a used mouthpiece at the time, and I have kicked myself ever since as I had not found a mouthpiece that compared. This "King" is by far the closest I have come to getting the sound I got from the "R&B".  Truly, it is a keeper and I could not be happier. first of all, let me tell you that I'm extremely happy! My saxophone arrived intact last Friday (after 4 working days of placing my order). I imagine other buyers did the same I did: read the testimonials for reference, so to make their lives easier, here goes my feedback in the form of a list of the things I liked:
1) selection: I like the fact that you have a great selection with prices available through the internet. I really don't like the web-sites that you have to e-mail in order for them to give you their price list. I don't understand that strategy and don't care for it. You carry the very best instruments as well as a good selection of entry level instruments - a good balance.

2) price: I researched the web extensively and you have the best prices (by far).

3) testimonials: the fact that I was able to e-mail a few of your customers was a key factor in my decision.

4) customer interface: even though you didn't have in stock the model I was interested in, you told me it was going to take a week at least, and that's what it took: one week.

6) shipping: UPS was very satisfactory - it took five days (you said 3 to 5) I could track the shipment all the way from UK to California and apparently they handled it with care.

I have nothing to say about the instrument. Selmer Series III sells itself. No words can describe it's beauty and sound! It was worth waiting for the flat matte. Overall I'm very satisfied with my buying experience and will definitely recommend your services. Please feel free to post my comments if you want and to make my e-mail available to your customers. I received my horn last week. The service was fast and the prices were great. On top of that, the YA62 is a horn with accurate intonation and an absolutely beautiful sound which is a great improvement over my student model. "Hi, I just bough a Selmer Super Action 80 II Alto Sax from Phill Straker at saxophones.co.uk.  Their prices are between $600-$1000 cheaper than any online dealers in the States who provided me with quotations on the same horn.  I asked him to send the horn to me via DHL, which he did with no hesitation.  Of course I paid for the shipping but that was only about $80. I was hesitant to spend such a large amount of money for a horn that was basically sight unseen.  But I am very happy with the horn and the service from Phill at saxophones.co.uk.  The horn, a brand new Selmer Paris horn, arrived in perfect condition within 5 days (I live on the island of Saipan in the Western Pacific so it takes a while for things to get this far, even with DHL!)  The horn was packed very securely inside the original Selmer case that I ordered, and that was packed very well in a sturdy cardboard outer box.  Everything was perfect and, unlike a lot of internet purchases, I was not (and still am not) disappointed.  The horn is great, and the folks I bought it from are first rate.  I have never done any other business with saxophones.co.uk or Phill Straker, and I don't get anything from him in exchange for my comments.  I just appreciate the value, the service and treatment I got from him.  If you decide to purchase a horn on-line I'm sure you'll get the same." e-mail jim@marianaspiano.com
