Raised left-hand palm keys, ergonomically positioned left-hand table keys, and easy-to-reach right-hand trill keys immediately distinguish the Series III tenor. By reducing the size of the rib plates that attach the posts to the body and altering the bend of the neck the Series III tenor responds very quickly and lively.

The latest finish from Selmer and we love it! The colour is the same as the normal clear lacquer but the finish is non reflective, almost as if the sax is in soft focus. The tone is characteristic of the Reference 54 tenor. It must be something to do with the finish because our matte silver Limited Edition has the same special tone quality."

Selmer (Paris) Series III Tenor Sax Black Lacquer & Engraved
Looks stunning in solid black lacquer with gold keywork, gold engraving and gold inner bell. Black lacquer is more than just a colour. The sax is made from regular brass before a black lacquer is applied which is thicker than the regular gold or clear lacquer. This thicker lacquer has a greater dampening effect on the vibrations enhancing a warmer, darker tone.
